Diamond @tohanimalshelter has stunning eyes, a beautiful chestnut red and white coat, and the cutest floppy ears. She is an affectionate girl, and gave me lots of kisses! She truly stole my heart!
People are under the impression that because a dog is considered a senior that they will be easier to handle, a more laid back type of dog. Well I am here to tell you that’s not always the case, especially with Diamond. Diamond is a strong girl who needs a strong, savvy handler and a teacher to show her the ropes.
If you walked into the shelter today and asked which dog has the least chance of getting adopted, it would be Diamond. Her age, dog-reactivity, and strength make her a challenging adoption – but for the right person she can be absolutely perfect.
Diamond just turned 10-years-old and has spent the past 2 years in the shelter – so she needs someone who is committed to giving her the structure, time and patience to adjust to her new home. I know there has to be someone out there with a big heart, a soft bed, and a sunny yard where Diamond can play. All this beautiful girl needs to be happy is some love, and she will return that unconditionally.
Diamond is a beautiful floppy eared senior Pittie mix. She is a smart, healthy, frisky, lady that loves to play fetch and take walks. Unfortunately what makes it even harder on this senior is that she must be an only pet, she has never been properly socialized and would not get along with a sibling. Diamond needs an adult-only household. She is housebroken, knows her basic commands, and is very friendly. In order to adopt Diamond, a meet and greet is REQUIRED at the shelter.
If you or anyone you know is in the market for a pet, Diamond can be the one for you.
